Report Writer (Ad Hoc Reporting) The I/Q Objects report writer from Sterling Software may be used to allow system users to generate ad hoc RFS reports without creating additional programming requirements. Using folders and attributes with business views, reports can be produced without any programming knowledge. This robust tool comes pre-configured with the RFS "knowledge base" to provide real-time access to corporate data and to generate ad hoc queries, graphs, production quality documents, Excel documents and World Wide Web pages to complement the standard RFS reports. Report Server Report Server allows users the ability to run reports at their convenience. By generating reports through the scheduler, users have the ability to schedule reports to run at a later time, with frequency options such as One Time, Daily, Monthly, or Quarterly. Reports can be scheduled to run at a specified time/date interval. You can schedule reports to print at designated printers and subsequently be notified that the report has been generated. One advantage of scheduling reports using the Report Server is that the report itself runs on the server, as opposed to the client. This frees the client to perform other functions more efficiently. Reports can be viewed through the RFS Report Manager, which is comprised of three sections: Scheduled Reports, Generated Reports, and Archived Reports. Auto Fax Functionality With RFS, you can automatically fax purchase orders, invoices, and account statements to customers and vendors. |

EDI Integration Designed to integrate with leading EDI (Electronic Data Interface) translators, RFS allows you to send and receive invoices, purchase orders, shipping orders, and more to and from your trading partners. Unit Conversion RFS has the capacity to handle both standard and non-standard unit conversions. RFS can track the changes in unit throughout the entire product lifecycle. Drill Down Innovative zoom-in and zoom-out features help you view information beginning with overall data and drilling down to the specific details of a single transaction. Security RFS Employee Authorization screen allows for extending user authorization based on job title or individual employee. Several privileges can be granted to an employee, including view-only, view and modify, and the ability to run and view reports. Workflow RFS communicates events among business units and designated users. Print Previewer Allows a report to be viewed on the screen. Through this option, RFS has the ability to print portions of the output rather than the entire report. RFS Maintenance The initial company set-up information and the set-up information for each module is found in this module. The core data entered here can be modified, updated, and deleted. |
